Locations

The offices and areas open to the public (cinema and library) are located in the Albertina Building. This location is mutually beneficial for both institutions housed in the building (the Albertina Museum and the Film Museum) and will be further enhanced by the recent renovation of the facade and entrance on Augustinerstrasse.

The Cinema of the Austrian Film Museum - the "Invisible Cinema 3", created by Peter Kubelka - utilizes the highest technical standards of film projection. The auditorium has 163 seats, space for 2 wheelchairs, and is equipped with an induction audio system.

The Film Museum's Public Library is Austria's largest library resource devoted to film. It contains more than 18,000 books and over 200 titles of specialized periodicals covering all aspects of film.

The Archives of the Austrian Film Museum are located in Vienna's 19th district. This is where the film collection as well as all documentation collections are housed.
