Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy

Pioneers of Laughter

The World of Slapstick Comedy

Age 7 to 10

Clowns and pioneers of film on an endless journey to find the best gag sometimes went as far as to risk their lives. They were adored throughout the world, their gags and technique have not lost their relevance - even outside of the comedy genre. In excerpts from cinema's history and present we will get to know how these early comedians worked, how they put their bodies and the capacities of film to work just to make us laugh. We will meet Charles Chaplin as a director, Buster Keaton as the craziest stuntman ever and Stan & Laurel who never really do anything right.
