Premiere:
Alien – Director's Cut" by Ridley Scott
December 12 and 20, 2003
On December 12 and 20, the Film Museum presents the Austrian premiere of Ridley Scott’s Director’s Cut of Alien (1979/2003). One of the great final achievements in 1970s "New Hollywood Cinema", Alien, also marks the beginning of an ending cinematic saga, including later contributions by filmmakers such as James Cameron and David Fincher. The carefully rendered re-edition of Alien by Ridley Scott – adding some scenes, tightening others – will not be released in Austria. This presentation is the only chance to see the Director’s Cut on a large screen.
