Annual Report 2024
At the beginning of 1964, Peter Konlechner and Peter Kubelka began showing films at various locations in Vienna through the association "Österreichisches Filmmuseum." Since its foundation 60 years ago, the Film Museum has strived to be both an internationally oriented museum for film as a global art form and a specific Viennese cultural institution for all people interested in film.
2024 was a year of major changes and (occasionally grueling!) construction sites. The end of the year saw a return to the much-loved "small" program booklet and the completion of construction work on our new "Filmmuseum LAB" at the Arsenal. Thanks to your support as members, friends of the Filmmuseum, partners and funding bodies, we succeeded in almost everything we set out to do. We hope this annual report gives you a vivid impression of this.
