Robert Gardner

With works such as Dead Birds or Forest of Bliss, US filmmaker Robert Gardner has become one of the essential figures in documentary and ethnographic film. He makes films based on experiences, Gardner says, and these experiences always take place in a terra incognita – New Guinea, India or East Africa. This book is the first German-language publication about the artist.
