David Puttnam was active for over 30 years as an independent producer of films like Mahler (1974), Midnight Express (1978), The Killing Fields (1984), and The Mission (1986). Alongside many other prizes, these films have collected a total of 10 Oscars, 13 Golden Globes and the Palme d'Or at Cannes. (Tom Waibel / Translation: Ted Fendt)
