Punto y Raya Festival 2021
Abstract Art in Motion

November 26 to 28, 2021 (cancelled/online)

Punto y Raya celebrates Audiovisual Art in its purest state: Form, Colour, Motion, Sound. No representation. Its mission is to recapture the spirit of Absolute Film formulated by the European avant-garde in the 1920s, consolidating this unique art form at the intersection between Fine Arts and Media.

Punto y Raya Festival, the world event for Abstract Art in Motion, arrives in Vienna with its seventh edition. The festival will run from November 25 to 28 at Blickle Kino, Künstlerhaus, and the Austrian Film Museum, offering its traditional meeting point for artists and lovers of the best Abstract Art in Motion.

The programme features an international Short Film Competition with ca. 100 abstract short films, monographic screenings, live performances, children's activities, and a media exhibition that will extend until December 5. The seventh edition of Punto y Raya is a coproduction of MAD (ES) and Mutual Loop (AT), with the kind support of the host venues, the Spanish Embassy in Vienna, and other embassies and cultural institutions.
