No. 35/2004 as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1" or with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reason(s):

a. Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Some content and control elements have low color contrast that make them difficult or impossible to visually impaired persons to recognize. (Requirement 1.4.3)

Some interactive elements are too small or too close to each other and are therefore difficult for people with limited motor skills to operate. (Requirement 2.5.8)

In some cases, content is missing after the headings, which can make orientation difficult for users with screen readers. (Requirement 1.3.1, requirement 2.4.6 Headings and labels)

Some embedded content (iframes) does not contain a textual description and is therefore not accessible to screen reader users. (Requirement 4.1.2)

Some links have either no or no informative link text and are therefore not understandable for screen reader users. (Requirements 2.4.4, 2.4.9, 4.1.2)

Some sections of text in other languages are not marked as such and therefore cannot be reproduced correctly by screen readers. (Requirement 3.1.2)

No alternative content, transcripts or subtitles are stored for audio and video content. (Requirements 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.3, 1.2.4, 1.2.5)

b. Disproportionate burden
We are constantly working to rectify and improve the unresolved issues, but the costs of implementing some unresolved issues still need to be assessed and decided in terms of the (dis)proportional burden.

c. The content is not within the scope of the applicable legislation
PDF documents provided on our websites are not barrier-free.

Contact form of the federal complaints office for digital accessibility

The complaints are reviewed by the FFG to establish whether they relate to violations of the requirements set forth in the Web Accessibility Act, in particular shortcomings as regards compliance with the accessibility requirements, on the part of the federal government or one of its institutions. If the complaint is justified, the FFG has to issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures that serve to eliminate the existing shortcomings.
