The school of independent film is a unique place in the world where people from different nationalities, social backgrounds and ages can encounter the artform of analog film. Over the past 17 years, it has fostered filmmakers' artistic practices, offered exchange and dialogue with national and international film artists and has by now left its mark on an entire generation of Austrian analog filmmakers. Guest teachers this past year included Laida Lertxundi, Pablo Marín & Philipp Fleischmann, Lilith Kraxner & Milena Czernovsky, Ruth Novaczek and Friedl vom Gröller.
