Filmed Reality

On the Trail of the Documentary Film

Wednesday, 16. November, 10:00-12:00

Age 14 plus
Documentaries have given themselves the task of showing reality. But is that even possible? Aren't things changed by being filmed? Whoever films reality also influences it at the same time. A documentary does not show reality in itself, but instead a filmed reality or a filmed version of reality. Documentary filmmakers are frequently concerned with showing their perspective on the world. To help the narrative, staging interventions in the events are always made, which has always been a cause for controversy. We will ask the question: where is the reality in a film? (ad)
