Nénette et Boni

Nénette is seven months pregnant and fleeing boarding school to live with her brother. He's working as a pizza-chef is nourishing fantasies about the baker next door and does neither find the time nor frankly the will to care about his sister. Set in a grey and dismal Marseilles Clair Denis' tender portrait of a siblings' relationship lets the spectator drift gently between the reality of the everyday and the sugar frosting of teenage dreams.
