Following the Oscar-winning Ida and the multi-award-winning drama Cold War – The Latitude of Love, Paweł Pawlikowski tells a sweeping family saga set against the backdrop of the postwar era through stunning cinematic imagery. With tender relentlessness, Fatherland connects the starting point of German history with the finale of a family saga. An intense cinematic experience, carried by a magnificent cast. The film won the Best Director award at the 2026 Cannes International Film Festival.
