Collection on Screen:
Christmas Comedies: Marx Brothers Forever
December 26 to 30, 2026
The program of Marx Brothers films from our collection between Christmas and New Year's is one of the most beloved traditions at the Austrian Film Museum. With each passing year, we grow increasingly concerned about the condition of our long-serving Marxist film prints, some of which are no longer in a condition which guarantees a smooth projection. After the annual inspection by our archival team, we present the six best-preserved prints to keep the tradition alive. Because what would be Christmas without cinematic Marxism? Have fun! (Christoph Huber/Translation: Ted Fendt)
