Brian De Palma ist taking the premise of Michelangelo Antonioni's famous play on perception Blow Up and puts it in a Hitchock-like Thriller setting: Voyeurism for the ears. John Travolta as a sound technician at a B-movie studio whose equipment records an accident. Or was it an accident? The more he digs into this question the more he is entangled in paranoia, fear, and mistrust against both his machinery and his senses. A film as suspenseful as reflective of the medium.

The screening (D: Brian De Palma, 107 min) in original language will be followed by a 60-minute analysis of chosen sequences.
