Close-Up
  Tricky Women / Tricky Realities
Animated Films by Women and/or Genderqueer Artists

Animated films can mix up the everyday and the surreal, they can break open structures and put them back together in new ways, they can create new courses of action and make other perspectives accessible. The feminist festival
Tricky Women Tricky Realities understands animation as an artform that questions existing ideas about reality and shows what might be possible. It transcends and pushes back borders, finds a new language for the unspeakable, and enables critical discussions and reflection. The audience is also invited to dream – since the diversity of animation is, in the best sense, not bound to gravity. With a series of short films, we will analyze and discuss the representation of socio-political structures through the filmic form of animated film. (tw)
The
short film program will be accompanied by a collective analysis of the films. A collaboration with Tricky Women.
