Adhering to a grand, decades-old tradition, the Austrian Film Museum will again screen several of the Marx Brothers' films between Christmas and New Year's – this year alternating with works from Charlie Chaplin’s brilliant early career (1914-17, programs from the Keystone, the Essanay, and the Mutual periods.) The selected Marx Brothers films span their entire oeuvre: from their feature debut The Cocoanuts (1929), through Horse Feathers (1932) and A Night at the Opera (1935) up to their late works such as At the Circus (1939) and A Night in Casablanca (1946).
